Curve Studio's Landscape Design Brings Care and Community Together in Green Surroundings at Bjerkreim Health Centre

Curve Studio has designed the landscape and outdoor areas at the newly opened Bjerkreim Health Centre in Bjerkreim municipality. Close collaboration with the municipality and users throughout the process has resulted in a cohesive facility built around care and good experiences.
"I'm not quite sure whether it's us or others who have declared this Norway's finest health centre, but it's very nice," said Mayor Tone Vaule at the opening.
The health centre cost around 350 million kroner, roughly the same as the municipality's annual budget. In addition to 38 institutional places, the health centre comprises eight care homes with round-the-clock staffing, and no less than 6,000 square metres of landscaped outdoor space, including an entrance square, park, sensory garden, and walking paths. Around 40 trees, 600 shrubs, and over 1,000 perennials have been planted, helping to create a green and inviting setting around the centre.
